Thanksgiving Memories
What does Thanksgiving mean to you each year?
Big family get-togethers with the carving of the turkey and all the dressing and homemade gravy.
Setting around in the afternoon with a very happy belly watching football and catching up with all the updates in your family.?
I remember growing up and wanting to be close to the kitchen when all the desserts and the pies were being prepared.
Pecan pie, Chocolate pie, Apple pie, we always had lots of pie.
When I got older it was a real treat to hold thanksgiving at my house and enjoy my family being near and playing cards, and of course still watching Thanksgiving football.
Irsquo;m older now and the kids are grown.
Itrsquo;s so much fun to contact my family during these upcoming holidays and touch base, talk about all the different foods we are eating today.
Maybe trying new dishes, or maybe changing families' dietary needs.
Thanksgiving is certainly a time to give thanks, get in touch with those that we miss and hold dear to our hearts.
Sometimes when the kids are grown and we donrsquo;t have all the responsibility of cooking we get to go out to different places and try out our own new foods, especially after all that turkey.
What are some of the foods and dishes your family is having this year for Thanksgiving?
